Cookie Policy

Last updated: May 2026

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to site owners.

2. Our Approach

Thrive takes a minimal approach to cookies. We use only essential cookies that are strictly necessary for the platform to function. We do not use any optional, analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies.

Because we only use strictly necessary cookies, we do not require cookie consent banners under UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

3. Cookies We Use

Cookie NamePurposeDurationType

4. What We Do NOT Use

  • Analytics cookies — We do not use Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Hotjar, or any similar service
  • Advertising cookies — We do not use Facebook Pixel, Google Ads, or any ad tracking
  • Social media cookies — We do not embed social media widgets that set cookies
  • Third-party tracking — No third-party cookies are set by our platform
  • Fingerprinting — We do not use browser fingerprinting or similar tracking techniques

5. Local Storage

In addition to cookies, Thrive may use browser local storage for:

  • AI model cache — The Aayu AI model (~1 GB) is cached locally for performance. This data never leaves your device.
  • Theme preference — Your dark/light mode preference

Local storage data remains on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

6. Managing Cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. However, disabling essential cookies will prevent you from logging into Thrive. Since we only use essential cookies, blocking them will effectively prevent the platform from functioning.

Most browsers allow you to:

  • View what cookies are stored
  • Delete individual or all cookies
  • Block cookies from specific sites
  • Block all third-party cookies (this will not affect Thrive as we use none)

7. Changes to This Policy

If we ever introduce non-essential cookies (which we have no plans to do), we will update this policy and implement appropriate consent mechanisms before doing so.
